I own a US-1641 and upgraded my MacBook to Mavericks the day it came out. I tried to install the Tascam drivers (which worked perfectly with mountain lion) but failed. I eventually managed to install the drivers, and my Mac recognises the device (in the Tascam Utility app), however the system cannot see the device, nor any software such as Logic. I've also tried since on a brand new iMac and was still unsucessfull.

Tascam issued a warning the day Mavericks was released explaining how they were facing issues with the drivers for their USB interfaces running on Mavericks systems: http://tascam.com/news/display/1758/

Windows XP and Vista are supported (although only the 32-bit versions so far), as is Mac OS X (Tiger and Leopard, on both Intel and Power PC architectures). The manual recommends checking the Tascam web site for updates to both the device drivers and the device's firmware, and this was the first thing I did. This driver is a beta (preliminary) release to support operation of TASCAM audio interfaces with Mac OS X 10.9 (Mavericks). Unexpected problems may occur, so before installing it, we advise all users to back up their computer. Note that once the old driver is uninstalled, it cannot be reinstalled on OS X 10.9.
